Vaiko receives chargesheet copy

CHENNAI: MDMK general secretary Vaiko on Saturday appeared before a George Town court and received a copy of a chargesheet against him for offences including sedition. The case related to a speech by Mr.Vaiko at a meeting here on Eelam in October last year. The chargesheet has been filed under Sections 124-A (sedition) IPC and Section 13 (1) (d) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

The court posted the matter for December 1 for questioning of the accused. — Special Correspondent
