Arabian food festival held

Staff Correspondent

Manipal: ‘Maroush’, a food festival of Arabian delicacies, was organised by the students of Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA) at the Fortune Inn Valley View here last week-end, according to a press release by the Manipal University. The mouth-watering Lebanese-Arabian food drew large crowds with an assortment of food, beverage, décor, uniforms, props and music.

Meant exclusively to make students learn about various food varieties, these festivals are conceptualized and organised by students themselves, under the guidance of the faculty members as well as senior students of the institution.

The restaurant was done up in a ‘Khema’ style, with a Shisha (Hookah), standing as the ‘pièce de résistance.

The walls were draped with shimmering golden net (representing Arabian Nights), and the Alladin ka Chiraag had been kept on every table.
