Four killed

CHENNAI: Four persons were killed in two different road accidents here since Friday night.
According to police, M. Ramalakshmi (25) of Gandhi Nagar in Saligramam, a doctor, and her father R. Muthiah (55), a RPF staff, were returning home on a moped when a lorry hit them on Poonamallee High Road on Saturday. They died on the spot. The lorry driver, Karikalan (25) , was arrested. In another road accident, K. Pratap (29) of Venkateswara Street in Velachery, employed in a software company, was going to Velachery from Adyar on a motorcycle with his wife P. Elizabeth Rani (22) when a lorry knocked them down in Indira Nagar. They died on the spot.
