Bangalore: The Global Communication Association (GCA) and the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) will jointly hold the 3rd International GCA India Conference for public relations and communication professionals here on November 26 and 27. M.B. Jayaram, Chief Mentor and Chairman Emeritus of PRCI said that the conference would enable individuals from different regions to share their experiences on globalisation and media and address various challenges. Referring to the theme of the conference, “Global village-are we there yet?”, Mr. Jayaram said: “The theme focuses on the speedy development of media technology in the past two decades that acts as a catalyst to transform the whole world to the conceptual global village.” Industry experts, media professionals, academicians, policy makers, corporate executives, representatives from NGOs and research scholars from around the world will present papers at the conference. Conference secretary Krishna B. Mariyanka said that this year’s conference aimed at understanding the challenges faced, the current trends and the future growth path. Governor H.R. Bhardwaj will inaugurate the conference and K. Jairaj, Principal Secretary, Energy, will deliver the keynote address.
