HYDERABAD: Traffic will be stopped or diverted on some routes from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Sunday in connection with the Hyderabad 10K Run and Half Marathon. Vehicles will not be allowed onto upper Tank Bund from any route during these timings, the police said. Traffic will be regulated on routes connected to V.V. statue, Khairatabad fly-over, Necklace road, Mint compound road, I-max theatre, old and new gates of Secretariat, Iqbal Minar, Telugu Talli flyover, Ravindra Bharathi, Nirankari Bhavan, Dwaraka hotel, Rasoolpura, Ranigunj, KIMS on Minister’s road, MG road and Karbala Maidan. Vehicles going from Himayathnagar ‘Y’ junction to Liberty junction will be diverted towards Old MLA Quarters. Traffic will not be allowed towards BJR statue at Basheerbagh. At the Malakunta junction, traffic going from Gandhi Bhavan to Charminar will not be allowed towards MJ Market. It will be diverted towards Alaska to reach Charminar via Goshamahal, Begumbazar Chatri, Muslim Jung bridge, City College, Moosabowli and Laad Bazar. At Salar Jung bridge, vehicles going towards Nayapul and Charminar will be diverted towards Charminar via Darulshifa and Mirchowk. Vehicles going towards Madina and City College will be stopped at Nayapul junction till the runners leave old city. Participants coming to the venue in buses will take the route of Lakdikapul, RBI, old Secretariat gate, turn left at Telugu Talli junction, turn left at helipad towards Mint Compound and IMAX theatre. Buses not allowedAfter parking vehicles there, they will walk to the venue. Buses will not be allowed to enter the route after 5.30 a.m.
