Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: A 15-year-old boy who was reported missing at M.K.B. Nagar on Thursday was found on Friday at the Chennai Central railway station.

According to police sources, after R. Suresh, studying in Standard IX, did not return home from school, his father Rajasekar lodged a complaint with the police.

Even as a search operation was on, the family received a call around midnight from a person who claimed to have kidnapped Suresh and demanded Rs.1 crore ransom.

Special police teams went to Tiruttani after investigation revealed that the call was made from there.

Another team looking for Suresh found him standing at the Chennai Central railway station on Friday morning. The boy told investigators that he went on his own accord to teach a lesson to his parents as they did not allow him to watch television.

He had broken the remote control unit (of the television) and was scared that they would beat him. Suresh was handed over to his parents, the sources added.
