“I too want my aunt’s blessings, your love and affection as YSR’s son” Jagan launches a scathing attack on TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu HYDERABAD: “Brothers, friends and sisters…I am your little brother,” began Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, Kadapa MP and the only son of deceased Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, amidst cheers, in his first ever public speech in the capital at NTR Nagar on Friday. “I am in Maheswaram because my father used to take his sister’s (Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy) blessings before embarking on any programme. I too want my aunt’s blessings, your love and affection as YSR’s son. He has given me a big family of the State,” he smiled. Offers prayersMr. Jagan began his campaign by first garlanding the statues of Rajiv Gandhi at Somajiguda, Indira Gandhi at Necklace Road, B.R. Ambedkar at Tank Bund and Babu Jagjivan Ram at Fateh Maidan. Prayers were offered at the Gandi Maisamma temple near Public Gardens and later he hoisted the party flag near Charminar. Roads blockedRoads were blocked to see his convoy through as police were present in strength all through the route. Hordes of partymen cheered, waved and tried to keep pace with his convoy but he refrained from speaking till he reached NTR Nagar in Maheswaram constituency. But the venue was too deep into the colony and not many people could catch up though partymen jostled with each other on a make shift stage forcing him to get back onto the vehicle for his address. Karmanghat junction meeting was a perfect site and Mr. Jagan was in elements sharpening his attack against Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu but he carefully avoided the Obulapuram mines issue, a hot topic for Opposition. Crackers were burst wherever he spoke as curious onlookers too came out to watch him. Sabita Indra Reddy’s son Kartik Reddy and Makajgiri MP Sarve Satyanarayana were present with him along with other leaders like D. Sudhir Reddy who joined the L.B. Nagar leg.
