Boy injured in attack

VIJAYAWADA: A 16-year-old boy sustained stab injuries when an 18-year-old man attacked him with a knife at Samarangam Chowk area on Friday. The victim was identified as Govindu,16, working in a local tea stall.

According to the One-Town police, trouble began when Bala Govindu’s friend Siva, 18, working in an eatery, invited Bala Govindu for a liquor party and the former declined to join. In a fit of anger, Siva attacked Bala Govindu with a knife. The victim was rushed to the Government General Hospital.
