Venkaiah Naidu hits out at Congress, TDP
HYDERABAD: Hitting out at the Congress and Telugu Desam, senior BJP leader M. Venkaiah Naidu said development was his party’s agenda in the GHMC elections and urged people to punish parties which were responsible for price rise.
At a press conference here on Friday, he said BJP would come back “in a big way” in the elections. Over the years the city grew in a lopsided manner and people lack basic amenities in many places. The BJP would introduce transparency and accountability in the functioning of GHMC.
Criticising Congress and TDP, he sought to know if the two parties would assure not to join hands with MIM and MBT. Referring to various unsavoury incidents involving Majlis, including the attack on Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen and challenge hurled at former DGP, he accused the two parties of being afraid of Majlis while the BJP spoke on behalf of the people.
