CHANDIGARH: Government agencies and private millers in Punjab have procured more than 139.06 lakh metric tonnes of paddy so far compared to 130.96 lakh tonnes procured last year. Out of the total procurement of 139.06 lakh tonnes, the government agencies have procured 136.03 lakh tonnes and private traders 3.03 lakh tonnes. PUNGRAIN has procured 40.46 lakh tonnes, MARKFED 28.08 lakh tonnes and the Food Corporation of India 6.63 lakh tonnes.
