CHANDIGARH: The Indian National Lok Dal on Friday challenged Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for a public debate on “rising prices, corruption in government, alleged horse-trading of MLAs and other relevant public issues”. Talking to media persons here, INLD secretary-general and Dabwali MLA Ajay Singh Chautala asked the Chief Minister to decide the time and venue for the open debate at the earliest. Mr. Chautala said that “the deteriorating law and order situation in the State, power-water crisis, Reliance SEZ land scam, sale of government jobs, land release and change of land use scam, construction of Sutlej-Yamuna link canal, worsening condition of the farming class and false announcements over the last five years and their non-implementation” would be the other issues for the debate. Accusing the State Government of all-round failure, Mr. Chautala said the people had rejected the Congress and its anti-people policies by defeating its candidates in 50 out of the 90 constituencies in the latest Haryana Assembly elections.
