Shimla: The Centre has provided a sum of Rs.88.93 crore as compensation to Himachal Pradesh for the losses suffered by the State this year due to excessive rain and prolonged drought condition. This amount has been given following report submitted by a seven-member Central team which had toured the State during September this year Revenue Additional Chief Secretary Harinder Hira said. --PTI
