THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A stamp being brought out by the Postal Department to mark the silver jubilee of the Silent Valley National Park will be handed over to Union Minister for Forest and Environment Jairam Ramesh by Post-Master General for the northern region Hilda Abraham at a function at Mundoor in Palakkad on Saturday. It was on November 15, 1984 that Silent Valley was declared a national park. The stamp depicts the Sairandhri area of Kunthipuzha where the dam was to be constructed. — Special Correspondent
