Taking stock: Collector Mukesh Kumar Meena examining the house hit by the mysterious blast at Palakolanu in Kurnool district on Friday. KURNOOL: Collector Mukesh Kumar Meena visited the mysterious blast site at Palakolanu village near Kalva Bugga in Kurnool district on Friday. After examining the place, the Collector offered an assistance of Rs 25,000 for repairs to the victim Venkatrami Reddy and a house under Indiramma programme. The Collector described the incident as nature’s phenomenon and said only experts could offer scientific reasons for the blast. Revenue Divisional Officer Padmaja also accompanied the Collector. Meanwhile, Additional SUperintendent of Police Ravindra Naik visited the place today facilitating an examination by forensic experts. It has been observed so far that explosives did not trigger the blast since no chemical components were recovered form the site. A team of geologists would also visit the place soon.
