MUMBAI: Karnataka’s exhibition of controlled attacking football proved too much for Kerala to handle, the former winning 6-1 in Group B action at the 32nd National sub-junior (South & West Zone) football championships for the Mir Iqbal Hussain Trophy. Four goals from Anto, including a hat-trick and two from skipper Shivram featured in Karnataka’s win at the Air India ground on Friday. Goa warmed up for league action with a 27-0 win over Puducherry, whose players looked under-16 as per the age restriction for the AIFF tournament. The results: Karnataka 6 (Anto 4, Shivram 2) bt Kerala 1 (P Harikrishnan); Goa 27 (Abel Mathew 10, Marvin Borges 9, Myron Mendes 4, Bipin Mallick, Joel Fernandes, Veloid Dias, Constancio Rodrigues) bt Puducherry 0. — Special Correspondent
