Special trains for festival season

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Southern Railway will run special trains between December 14 and January 30, 2010, to clear the rush of passengers during the Sabarimala, Christmas, New Year and Pongal seasons.

Advance reservation for the special trains commenced on Thursday.

The 0637 Chennai Egmore- Nagercoil special will leave Chennai at 8.20 p.m. on Thursdays from December 17 to January 28 to reach Nagercoil at 11.05 a.m. the next day.

The 0638 Nagercoil- Chennai Egmore special will leave Nagercoil at 1.30 p.m. on Fridays from December 18 to January 29 to reach Chennai at 4.25 a.m. the next day.

The 0639 Chennai Egmore- Nagercoil special will leave Chennai at 6.45 p.m. on Mondays from December 14 to January 25 to reach Nagercoil at 8.05 a.m. the next day.

The 0640 Nagercoil- Chennai Egmore special will leave Nagercoil at 1.30 p.m. on Tuesdays from December 15 to January 26 to reach Chennai at 4.25 a.m. the next day.

The 0652 Nagercoil- Chennai Egmore special will leave Nagercoil at 7.40 p.m. on Mondays from December 14 to January 25 to reach Chennai at 8.55 a.m. the next day.

The 0651 Chennai Egmore- Nagercoil Special will leave Chennai at 2.40 p.m. on Tuesdays from December 15 to January 26 to reach Nagercoil at 5.30 a.m. the next day.

The 0607 Chennai Central- Nagercoil Garib Rath special will leave Chennai at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesdays from December 16 to January 27 to reach Nagercoil at 11.05 a.m. the next day.

The 0608 Nagercoil- Chennai Central Garib Rath special will leave Nagercoil at 1.30 p.m. on Thursdays from December 17 to January 28 to reach Chennai at 4.50 a.m. the next day.

The 0653 Chennai Central- Kollam special will leave Chennai at 3.15 p.m. on January 19 to reach Kollam at 5.30 a.m. the next day. The 0654 Kollam- Chennai Central special will leave Kollam at 12 noon on January 20 to reach Chennai at 4 a.m. the next day.

The 0633 Chennai Central- Kochuveli special will leave Chennai at 11.30 p.m. on January 20 to reach Kochuveli at 3.40 p.m. the next day.

The 0634 Kochuveli- Chennai Central special will leave Kochuveli at 8.10 p.m. on January 21 to reach Chennai at 12.20 p.m. the next day.

A weekly special train will be run on the Hubli- Kochuveli- Hubli sector between November 25 and December 3.

The 2777A Hubli- Kochuveli special will leave Hubli at 6.50 a.m. on November 25 and December 2 to reach Kochuveli at 6.30 a.m. the next day.

The 2778A Kochuveli- Hubli special will leave Kochuveli at 12.45 noon on November 26 and December 3 to reach Hubli at 1.45 p.m. the next day.

The train will run via Salem, Erode, Palakkad and Kottayam.
