Energy efficiency labels for more products

COIMBATORE: The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) is working on energy efficiency labels for nine more products under its Standards and Labelling programme. Currently, 11 appliances are covered under the programme.

Ajay Mathur, Director General of the BEE, Union Ministry of Power, told presspersons here on Friday that the Bureau planned to come out with nine more labels in two years. These would cover washing machines, mobile chargers, and office automation devices.
