Action plan to monitor projects needed: Collector
Staff Reporter
Tirupur: Collector C. Samayamoorthy has asked the District Industries Centre, Khadi and Village Industries Commission and Khadi and Village Industries Board officials to come out with an action plan to monitor the projects undertaken by beneficiaries under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP).
“This will help the administration to provide necessary marketing assistance to the youth who have taken up entrepreneurial ventures under the scheme, to sell their products,” he said while chairing the meeting of District Consultative Committee for Banking Development here on Thursday evening.
Mr. Samayamoorthy instructed the KVIB, KVIC and DIC to forward the eligible credit proposals received under PMEGP to the concerned service area banks at the earliest and follow them for early sanction.

The banks in the district were requested to utilise the services of the District Industries Centre and district administration to recover the over dues from various borrowers under government-sponsored schemes.
NABARD Assistant General Manager G. Santhanam told the financial institutions to issue Kissan Credit Cards to the entire eligible farmers in the district before December 31.
Lead Bank Manager R Murugesan was present.
