BHUBANESWAR: The Steel City of Rourkela offered tribute to late legendary singer-composer-writer Akshaya Mohanty at Bhanj Bhawan on Wednesday through staging of Akshaya Sangeet Sandhya, an exclusive cultural evening with songs scripted, sung or composed by Akshaya. The artiste had his last stage show of life at Rourkela and to perpetuate his memory, Samrat Akshaya Mohanty Trust has been set up that hosts the annual. Western range Police DIG Pranabindu Acharya inaugurated the event. A souvenir was also released to mark the occasion. Akshaya Mohanty’s wife Prabina Mohanty and singer-son Chitrabhanu were invited as special guests.
