PUDUCHERRY: Forty-one people belonging to the Lawspet constituency, who have lost the head of their families, received financial assistance under the Rajiv Gandhi Social Security Scheme through the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, on Friday. Two of the beneficiaries received Rs. 50,000 each, and the rest received Rs. 25,000 each. Public Works Minister M.O.H.F. Shahjahan gave away the assistance.
