Gomatha Grama Yathra to touch Coimbatore

Coimbatore: The Gomatha Grama Yathra will reach VOC Grounds here at 5 p.m. on November 24.

According to a release from R.Uthamaraj, chairman of the reception committee, this nation-wide yathra is meant to create awareness about the importance of cow and its protection.

The yathra, which commenced at Gurukshethra on September 30, will conclude at Nagpur on January 17, 2010, after visiting 400 places.

During the yathra, a signature campaign will also be held.

The signatures then collected will be handed over to the President of India on January 29, 2010.
