PATIALA: National Theatre Arts Society (NTAS) launched “Chacha Nehru Theatre Week-2009” at Veer Haqiqat Rai Senior Secondary School here earlier this week in the presence of 1,500 students, teachers, staff and management. Commending the performance of two Punjabi plays, Aurat Koi Bikdi Shai Nahi and Shanti Di Agg--Parnam Shaheedan Nu, presented on the occasion, Prof. Harinder Sharma, president of the school management committee, presented a cash award of Rs. 3,100 to NTAS president G. S. Kakkar and lauded NTAS for commemorating Pandit Nehru’s birthday every year by organising a children’s theatre festival.
