Raipur: A top labour department official has been suspended in connection with the Balco power plant mishap in which 41 labourers were killed in Chhattisgarh’s Korba district. According to official sources, Rajjubhai Bhoi, in-charge Deputy Director, Labour Department (Bilaspur) was suspended for dereliction of duties during the chimney collapse at an under-construction power plant of metal major Balco. Mr. Bhoi’s suspension orders have been issued, they said adding Manish Kumar from Higene laboratory in the state capital will be taking charge for the post in Bilaspur. - PTI
