Mining firms seek review of order

BANGALORE: Two mining firms on Thursday filed a review petition urging the Karnataka High Court to review its earlier order passed in a case relating to grant of mining lease in Navlatti village in Bellary district.

The firms submitted that when they received the order copy, it was at variance with the order passed by the court. They said the court had on July 30, 2009 passed an order allowing one case and dismissing another. This order was also reflected in the order sheet in the petition.

However, when the order was made available to the parties, the court order was at variance with the earlier order. Therefore, Siddartha Enterprises and another mining firm had filed the review petition.
