VISAKHAPATNAM: Two abandoned baby boys, both a few days old, who were found abandoned at two different places in the city, are being treated in the children’s ward of King George Hospital here. While one baby was found near a temple and brought to the KGH by the Sishu Vihar of the Woman and Child Welfare Department, the other one was reportedly retrieved from a bush by the 108 personnel and brought to the hospital. Both babies were brought to KGH on Monday. “Both are very much under weight, one is weighing only 1.1 kg and another 1.2 kg, and are in a serious condition. One baby boy showed slight improvement by the evening. But it would take a few more days for the babies to recover”, said Professor of Paediatrics P. Venugopal. Both babies are kept in incubators.
