Junior doctors’ stir continues

Junior doctors of King George Hospital and other teaching hospitals of Andhra Medical College continued their strike on Tuesday as part of the State-wide agitation demanding higher honorarium.

They held a demonstration near the KGH main gate in the morning and about a dozen of them observed hunger strike. Following the police forcibly removing the junior doctors who were on indefinite fast in Hyderabad on Monday night, junior doctors here stopped emergency work from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Tuesday.

However, they resumed emergency duties later in the day.
