Maoist acquitted

ADILABAD: Adilabad First Additional Session Judge S. Venkata Ramanaiah on Tuesday acquitted top Maoist leader Tusharkanti Bhattacharya in the famous Tapalpur murder case of November 1976. The naxalite leader, who was arrested in Bihar in September 2008, was one of the prime accused in this historic case and was the only one who had evaded arrest for 32 years. — Staff Reporter
