Sri Lankan arrested

CHENNAI: Officials of the Narcotics Control Bureau on Saturday arrested Shahbuddin, a Sri Lankan national, who was wanted in connection with a 2002 case.

According to an official release, Shahbuddin was involved in the seizure of 12.36 kg of heroin at a bus stand in Saidapet on October 6, 2002.

An arrest warrant issued by a special court for Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act cases was pending against him.
