Granted police custody

CHENNAI: A city court on Monday granted police custody of W. Williams (56) of Netherlands who was arrested by the Cyber Crime Cell in connection with a child pornography case.

According to police, the accused had petitioned for bail while investigators sought his custody for further interrogation.

He was produced in the XI Metropolitan Magistrate’s court in Saidapet on Monday. The court granted police custody till November 19. Cyber Crime Cell offcials said hard disc, pen drives, laptop seized from the premises of the suspect at Choolaimedu were being analysed by the Forensic Science Laboratory. Williams was arrested on November 7.
