PCC poll coordination panel constituted

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has constituted 11-member poll coordination committee for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections.

Ministers – Gade Venkat Reddy, Botsa Satyanarayana and Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, former Ministers – Md. Ali Shabbir, Kamatam Ram Reddy, APCC general secretaries, Gidugu Rudraraju, R. Padmaraju and Tripurana Venkatratnam, vice-presidents, S.Indrasain Reddy, Madasu Gangadharam and spokesperson B. Kamalakar Rao are the members.

Tribal Welfare Minister P. Balarju has been asked to concentrate of divisions that have been reserved for tribals along with Rajya Sabha member T. Ratna Bai.

Former MLAs – B.Arogyam and M Thippeswamy, P.V.Raghavulu and B.Rajani Reddy have been asked to coordinate with the locals leaders in Scheduled Caste reserved divisions.

The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee has also deputed several office bearers to tour divisions reserved for women.

Nominated MLA Christina Lazarus was asked to interact with the Christian association in the GHMC area to seek support for the ruling party while MLC B. Venkata Rao was directed to get in touch with the trade unions to garner support.
