Model exam held

TIRUNELVELI: A total of 254 students, including 100 girls, took the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE Model Exam) conducted every year by ‘The Hindu Education Plus’ and ‘AIMS Education’ at St. Xavier’s College in Palayamkottai on Sunday.

This free model examination will immensely benefit Plus Two students aspiring for admission to the NITs and other colleges offering B.E. / B.Tech programmes. The model exam will be followed by a discussion session on November 29.

As many as 163 candidates appeared for the three-hour examination at Karapettai Hindu Nadar Girls Higher Secondary School here.

Close to 1,100 students registered and 875 among them took the examination at two centres in the city on Sunday.
