KURNOOL: An engineering student who was allegedly kidnapped by his friends at Yemmiganur was rescued on Sunday. According to reports, Rajesh, who was studying at St. John’s College of Engineering at Yemmiganur was allegedly abducted by his friend Rammohan Reddy and detained at Banavasi. When he was being beaten by Rammohan Reddy and a few others, passersby identified the youth and rescued him. The gang was believed to have kidnapped him for money. The police are investigating. –Special Correspondent
