Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh vigilance department has caught a district inspector of schools (DIOS) while taking a bribe for giving his recommendation on granting recognition to an educational institute. Mahamayanagar DIOS Ram Agya Kumar was arrested on Thursday following a complaint by the principal of a secondary school in Hathras district. Mr. Kumar had demanded Rs 50,000 from the principal for giving his recommendation for granting recognition to intermediate classes.
