DEHRA DUN: The Uttarakhand State Science and Technology Congress-2009 at Pant Nagar has ended with chief guest Girijesh Pant, Vice-Chancellor of Doon University, calling on scientists and policymakers to introspect on developing science as a tool readily acceptable to the masses so that real-time development is ensured. Commending the State Council for Science and Technology for holding the congress at G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Prof. Pant said the nation should first decide on the need and intricacies of the proposed second Green Revolution: “We will have to first find out what went wrong with the first Green Revolution.” Council director Rajendra Dobhal said 45 scientists have been selected for research grant.
