Junior National inaugurated
BANGALORE: The junior National rowing championship was formally inaugurated by Col. Ram S. Gabri, Commandant of the MEG & Centre at Trishna Club, Ulsoor Lake here on Thursday.
Over 200 contestants are taking part in the championship, which has single scull, double scull, pairs and fours events.
The winners of the recent Asian rowing championship held at Taipei are also participating in the championship.
Heats were conducted on the first day and on Friday repechage events will be held, followed by semifinals on Saturday and finals on Sunday.— Special Correspondent
