Two-day school sports meet begins tomorrow

KOZHIKODE: The sports meet of the Sahodaya Schools Complex Malabar region will be held at Devagiri CMI Public School here on November 14 and 15. A.

Pradeep Kumar, MLA will inaugurate the meet. Fr. Jose Idappadi, manager, Devagiri group of institutions, will preside.

Nearly 2,000 students from 50 schools in five districts will participate.

The meet will be held in six categories for students under the ages of 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18.

Arrangements have been completed for the meet, Fr. George Thomas Chelakkal, president, Sahodaya School Complex Malabar region; N. Ramachandran Nair, secretary; and Fr. John Mannarathara, school principal, said.

Fr. Mathew Kalarikkal, Principal of St. Joseph’s College, Devagiri, will distribute the prizes at the valedictory function.
