Chain snatched

CHENNAI: Motorcycle-borne suspects snatched a seven-sovereign chain from a software engineer at Pattinapakkam on Tuesday night.
The police said V. Manju Subashini (30) of 3rd Cross Street in Mandaveli was returning home from work when the suspects, who came from behind, snatched the chain and escaped.
Handbag stolen
In Velachery, a youth snatched the handbag of a software engineer. According to the police, Sasikala (25) of Seethapathi Nagar was on her way home when the youth took away her bag containing Rs.3,000 cash, driving licence and credit card.
