U.P. Congress leader quits

NEW DELHI: Upset over the reverses suffered by the Congress in the Bundelkhand region, the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee spokesman Vijay Khaira on Tuesday resigned from the post and blamed Union Minister of State for Rural Development, Pradeep Jain for the defeat.

Dr. Khaira, who hails from the region, said thecandidates selected for the Jhansi and Lalitpur Assembly seats were “weak and less known.”
