St. Thomas downs St. Aloytius
ETTUMANOOR: St. Thomas HSS, Kozhencherry defeated St. Aloytius HSS, Athuirampuzha 46-39 in the opening match of the MC Varghese memorial all-Kerala inter-school prize money basketball tournament at the MC Varghese basketball stadium on Tuesday.
T. Thomas Benzon Joseph (12 pts) top scored for St. Thomas.
Bibin Joy and Allten T. John also scored 12 points each for the loser.
Kuzhimathikadu school wins
Government HSS, Kuzhimathikadu defeated Boys HSS, Punalur by 37 runs in the opening match of the Kollam District inter-school cricket tournament at the Ashramam Maidan here on Tuesday.
Batting first, Govt. HSS scored 87 in 20 overs and in reply BHSS was bundled out for 50 in 12.1 overs.
