Bangalore: C.M. Ramachandra, the former Chief of Bureau of The Hindu, Bangalore, on Tuesday submitted a draft copy of a book on the Vidhana Soudha, State Secretariat, to Legislative Council Chairman Veeranna Mattikatti and Legislative Assembly Speaker Jagadish Shettar. The State Legislature Secretariat had requested Mr. Ramachadra to write a book on the Vidhana Soudha. The State Legislature Committee on Library would go though the content of the draft and take a decision on publishing it, said Mr. Mattikatti, who is also the chairman of the committee. The draft contains 32 chapters and photographs of the State Secretariat building, which was built during the tenure of former Chief Minister Kengal Hanumanthaiah. Mr. Ramachandra, who wrote the draft copy of the book in five months, has traced the history of the Vidhana Soudha and various political developments for over five decades. The journalist has expressed his views on various issues in the copy and the committee would go through it in detail before ordering the final print, he said. Mr. Mattikatii said the former Council Chairman, D.B. Kalmankar, took the decision to bring out the book on the Vidhana Soudha. Mr. Ramachara recently published a book titled “The Miracle of the Millennium: America Goes Black, Barack Obama Strides into the White House”..
