Mission to implement street vendor policy set up

HYDERABAD: The State government is addressing problems of the urban poor by establishing a mission for elimination of poverty in municipal areas under the Municipal Administration department, which will implement the street vendor policy.

This was disclosed by Municipal Administration Minister A. Ramnarayan Reddy while inaugurating a workshop on ‘Street vendor policy in urban local bodies’. He said the mission would cover 125 urban local bodies. The workshop would discuss/suggest measures to be initiated for street vendors.
