They were transferred after the BJP rebellion Officials reinstated as part of an agreement Bangalore: Three officials who were transferred from Bellary district soon after the ministers from the district rebelled against Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa a fortnight ago, have been brought back to the district. The State Government on Tuesday transferred five IAS, three IPS and two IFS officers in accordance with the agreement reached between the rival camps. This was a key demand placed by the ministers G. Karunakara Reddy, G. Janardhan Reddy and B. Sriramulu as a pre-condition for giving up their insistence on a leadership change. With this, the Chief Minister has complied with three demands made by the dissidents. While Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister V.P. Baligar was transferred on Friday, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Shobha Karandlaje put in her papers on Monday. All officials transferred from Bellary have now been brought back to the district. B. Shivappa, Deputy Commissioner, Bellary district, who was transferred to Bidar district, is back as Deputy Commissioner of Bellary. Harsh Gupta, who was transferred to Bellary from Bidar, has now been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Shimoga district. He replaces Pankaj Kumar Pandey who has been posted to Bidar. N.V. Prasad, Deputy Commissioner, Gadag district, who was held responsible by the Chief Minister for irregularities in the payment of compensation to people displaced by floods and summarily transferred as Chief Executive Officer of the Dharwad Zilla Panchayat, has been sent back to Gadag district. Health Minister B. Sriramulu is the Minister in charge of Gadag district. C. Shikha who was appointed Deputy Commissioner, Gadag, has been posted as Chief Executive Officer, Dharwad Zilla Panchayat. Seemant Kumar Singh who was transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Railways, Bangalore, has been brought back as Superintendent of Police, Bellary. D.C. Rajappa who was posted in his place has been transferred to Shimoga district. S. Murugan, Superintendent of Police, Shimoga, has been appointed Superintendent of Police, Haveri district. Deputy Conservator of Forests, Bellary, S. Muthaiah who was transferred AS Deputy Conservator of Forests, Chamarajanagar district, is back in Bellary, and Biswajit Mishra who was posted in his place has been appointed Deputy Conservator of Forests, Chamarajanagar.
