NBW against Chamundi

VIJAYAWADA: A local court has issued a non-bailable warrant against former secretary of Andhra Cricket Association V.Chamundeswaranath in the case of sexual harassment of women cricketers.

The Judge of the First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court, M.R. Satyanarayana, issued the NBW towards the closing hours of the court on Saturday, hence it came into effect only on Monday. The hearing was posted to November 25. The NBW follows the filing of a chargesheet by the Machavaram police against Chamundeswaranath on the basis of an investigation into the cases registered under Sections 354, 506 and 509 of IPC , in response to a complaint made by women cricketers.
