VIJAYAWADA: The conversation was intended to inform, influence and entertain the listeners whose interest seemed aroused due to the novelty of the programme. Deviating from the customary practice of churning out lengthy speeches, resource persons at the inaugural of a two-day leadership training camp at Maris Stella College on Monday chose to involve the students in a different ball game to help them evolve into a rounded personality.“You get in life what you have the courage to ask for. Set high goals and do whatever it takes to achieve them,” said Vivek D. Patki of Mumbai-based Forum of Freedom Enterprise, which organised the camp. Dealing with key subjects like ‘Managing Yourself’ and ‘Communication Skills’, Mr. Patki explained to the bright-but-naïve students. The trainees were categorised in two groups that headed to different venues to master simple techniques that could help them overcome their ‘perceived’ fears.
