Three arrested on charges of vehicle theft

KOCHI: Three persons were arrested by the Ernakulam Town South Police on charges of vehicle theft during a special combing operation.

Pradeep, 30, Anzil, 32, and Abhilash, 26, were arrested from Kochi-Madurai National Highway, while travelling in a stolen car.

The police recovered two more cars from Thiruvananthapuram. The police said that the accused used the stolen cars to smuggle spirit. Three more persons, believed to be kingpins of the group, are to be arrested in this connection.
