Udupi: Milagres High School, Kallianpur, bagged the Srinivas M. Kamath Memorial Best of Brains Trophy at the Brain Quest Science and Technology Competition, organised by -Skool here on November 7 and 8. A press release issued by E-Skool here on Monday stated that Milagres High School had bagged the award for winning most prizes in all categories of the competition. Government High School, Volakadu, got the first prize in physical sciences category of the “Science Quest” competition. Its team exhibited a periscope. Vidyodaya Public High School, Mudrady, was took second place for its “cheapest solar cooker." The Vidya Samudra Tirtha High School, Kidiyoor, bagged the first place in life sciences category for its display on “Life processes” while the V.K.R. Acharya Memorial High School, Kunjal, got the second prize for its exhibit titled “Solar Irrigation”. The first place in “IQuest”, an IQ test on analytical and coordination skills, went to Manipal Pre-University College while Milagres English Medium High School, Kallianpur, took second place. The first place in “Filter Quest” competition went to Government High School, Ajjarkad, followed by Little Rock Indian School, Brahmavar, and Government High School, Volakadu, in second and third places. Forty teams from high schools in the Science Quest.
