Software engineer dies in road accident

CHENNAI: A software engineer died of multiple injuries when a car ran over him in Nandanam on Sunday.
Police said Ganesh Kumar (29) of Bodinayakkanur was trying to cross the road when the car knocked him down.
The victim died on the spot. Kumar, employed in a firm in Taramani, got married three months ago and moved into a house in Nandanam area. Deputy Commissioner of Police Traffic-South M.S.Muthusamy said the driver of the car could not see the pedestrian as the windscreen wipers did not work. The driver has been arrested and remanded.
The Soundarapandianar Angadi Traffic Investigation Police have registered a case.
