Coimbatore: The Madurai-based Bharathi Yuva Kendra will present Yuva Shri Kala Bharathi Award to school students and Swami Vivekananda Award to college students excelling in academics, music, bharathanatyam, oratory, poem writing, painting, sports and social service. According to a press release from the organisation, the awards will be presented in all the districts in the State and Puducherry. Eligible students can submit applications for the awards, along with photocopies of the certificates they had got for winning various events. They should mention their residence address and phone number in the application and send all these before November 30 to Nellai Balu, Founder, Bharathi Yuva Kendra, G 52, Shanthi Sadan Colony, Kochattai, Madurai-625016. Phone: 94439-30815 and 94426-30815. A self-addressed envelope affixed with a Rs.10 postage stamp should also be sent along with the application to this address. Students who had scored 80 per cent marks or more in Tenth and Plus-Two examinations this year and the last three years can apply for the award. They should send the photocopies of the mark sheets to the organisation, the release said.
