Nip in the air: Night temperature drops considerably. HYDERABAD: The Monday morning mist and chilly weather brought out the jackets and woollens of Hyderabadis. The minimum temperature hovering around 19 degrees Celsius coupled with the slight drizzle for two days had winter-loving city dwellers making the most of it. From having hot ‘chai’ to hot mirchi bhajjis, people were seen enjoying the weather at different parts of the city. Long driveWhile college students headed straight to popular hang-out spots such as Eat-Street and Necklace Road, many were seen going on long and relaxed drives. “It’s just perfect and I wish I didn’t have to sit cooped up in an office,” said Smitha Reddy a software engineer. The drop in temperature had the customers making a beeline to various shops for picking up woollen clothes and scarves. Good business“I have had a good business in the past three days and have sold quite a few scarves, sweaters and gloves,” said Sandeep, a vendor selling woollens near Panjagutta. “Due to active north-east monsoon, the city and parts of State may experience thundershowers. The minimum temperature is likely to remain around 19 degrees Celsius,” Met department officials informed, while the maximum temperature is likely to be around 29 degrees Celsius.
