Rethinavelu appointed as port trustee

MADURAI: The senior president of Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, S. Rethinavelu, has been appointed as a trustee on the board of Tuticorin Port Trust for a period of two years.

In a press release, Chamber president V. Neethimohan said that this was a significant recognition of the services rendered by the trade body over the years.

Mr. Rethinavelu, who was the Chamber president for 15 years continuously, had conducted several seminars highlighting the need for expeditious completion of Sethusamudram Ship Canal Project (SSCP). He had worked towards launching Inland Container Port of Madurai.
